A newbie question, probably.
Is there a way to tweak the mount so that it accommodates a payload which aims at 90° from normal line of sight ?
I have a setup which includes a camera for imaging with a small tele lens , together with a guiding camera.
Both are mounted across a long losmandy dovetail, which means that the line of sight is 90° across the dovetail axis.
When i try to send the actual pointing direction from Sharpcap to the mount, the mount refuses to synchronise so that goto's are not possible .
Is there a way to tell the mount that the optical payload points 90° instead of 0° with respect to the saddle axis?
Cheers up and clear sky
solution : rotate the DEC axis by 90° and reset the home position at that point.
[solved] how to handle a setup which aims at 90° with respect to "normal line of sight" ?
