low voltage output

Post by JetBlast »

I have recently added the Pocket Powerbox advance to my rig....initially I had a separate 12Volt supply to both the Powerbox and my ZWO AM5 mount.
This worked fine. I then decided to try and have only the one cable to my rig.....ie the Powerbox supplying all the units on my telescope rig.
I was then that I encountered a problem. the AM5 started to play up, ie not responding to commands from NENA etc.
At the same time receiving a warning of low voltage from the mount.
The dashboard reports that the Quad supply is on outputting 11.4 volts. This is regardless of either using my good quality mains supplied 12volt or my Ecoflow Lithium battery.
I have checked both outputs using a meter and they both outputting a voltage of 12.5 volts.
Should I be seeing this drop in voltage from the Powerbox? and certainly not what I was expecting.
Could you advise if this is normal or should I return the unit.
