Unable to update firmware

I just received my Nyx, and I'm unable to update the firmware.
I can get it connected to wifi - even though it doesn't like my home network (password too long, apparently), and start the process, but it fails with a unhandled exception - Task was cancelled.
This is on a Win11 mini PC.
I've seen other posts saying to try a Win10 machine, but mine will not start. Are there other options to try?
