I have 2 Pocket Powerbox Advance units both new within 6 months. Bye the way, both work great. One unit has firmware 2.8 and the other is at 2.6. How do I get the unit with 2.6 upto 2.8?

It is not required. The v2.8 is for the latest PCB revision batch. If there is a firmware update Unity will prompt you to upgrade.
