Problem powering Nikon D5500

Hi all I raised a support email but I’ll post here as well.

I’m currently using

Power box advanced
Nikon D5500
Lanparte EP5A battery coupler

When I connect power to my camera and engage the live view I get purple bands, and the shutter won’t operate correctly.

I’ve saw similar issues to this with after market batteries, especially once the voltage starts to drop when it’s draining or on really cold nights.

Any advice appreciated.
Chris

I suggest turning the voltage to 9V. Nikon cameras require a little bit higher voltage than 8V.
Unfortunately I do not know about this 3rd party coupler and if it is related to the powering issue or a voltage drop from cable
