Hi,

just got my Nyx, i was trying to install it on the EQ6 tripod with the adapter, the bolt from eq6 doesn't reach to the Nyx base, so can't screw it and secure it..

how do I fix this ?

PS; yes, is the original Sky watcher Eq6 tripod

I am having the same problem. I used the extender nut that came in the adapter package (which BTW doesn't look like the one shown in the manual which is a male to female thread. ) yet the center column catches that one, but still doesn't reach the actual NYX base. I had to use the bottom of the column (ie invert it) and use the other longer thread, and although that sort of works, it now doesnt allow me to have the utility ,etal piece for eyepieces which actually is more important to ensure the legs dont move.

Is this anything Pegasus is aware of?

The one originally coming with the package is not the extender nut, that one is to fix the adapter to eq6 in order to make the pier.
you should contact Pegasus support to get the extender.
