Unity 1.6 and pyUPB example not working?

I'm trying to use the pyUPB examples, downloaded from the Pegasus Astro website, with Unity version 1.6. Should this work? when I run the command: "py PyUPB.py status.txt"
I get the following response in the log file:
Processing UPB commandfile: status.txt
Command: P#
Unable to communicate with port: 32000 on 127.0.0.1
Ensure Pegasus UPB software is running and connected to UPBv2.
OS error: [WinError 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote hostReply: <no-reply>
Finished processing UPB commandfile.
Any ideas anyone?
