I just got my Meteo Sensor, and have plugged it in to charge. The device blinks the display on and off every one second or so, and sometimes shudders or skips a beat and blinks more rapidly. This is true with both the supplied USB cable and another one I had available. The continuously blinking display is a bit of a distraction. Is this expected behavior?

Yes, it is expected as it takes a measurement for sky brightness and when it takes this measurement it has to shut off the display to avoid wrong light readouts
