Prism rotation

Post by rick123 »

I am putting together a new imaging system and have the SCOPS OAG and the Falcon rotator. I put them together per your instructions but have found that the prism is now facing the wrong direction for my purposes.

Is the prism direction changeable? I do not want to mess with this unless I have instructions.

Also with the two units connected the set rings/jam nuts do not have enough clearance to actually thread on the camera stalk. Is that normal? My guide camera fits on just fine but without a way to "fix" its position is is free to rotate - which is not good.

Thanks.

Hey rick, which guide cam do you use? I have 3 with CS female thread and none sit snug fit on the SCOPS. Further, with the SCOPS fixed to the FALCON, I do not have enough clearance to install my ASI120mini or QHY-IIL

Pegasus offered me to provide a file to 3d-print a spacer between the SCOPS and the FALCON. While that will allow us to install the fixing ring, we lose the benefit with regards to less backfocus ... Therefore I wonder what guide camera fits ...
