Connecting a bipolar motor to my pegasus UPBv2

Hello,

I'm trying to get a bipolar motor working with my UPBv2 without success...
But i really want to replace the current motor controller and use the UPBv2 one.

The motor is a 4 wires one so i guess that it's bipolar one (https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/pr ... =6775#desc).
I check the 2 coils using the multimeter and made a custom cable connecting a DB9 to a RJ45.

According to what i read on the UPBv2 documentation
DB9 1 2 3 4 connected to RJ45 3 4 5 6
I've skipped the 12v wire as i don't have it on the motor.
I hear some noise but the motor shaft is not rotating.

When i reduce the speed to 20, i got a strong vibration...
Does the bipolar need a more complex driver as it need to reverse polarity ?
Is there a specific software configuration switch to use a bipolar motor.

Could you help me figure out the problem ?

The pinout is correct. Bipolar does not require a unique 12V pin so you are good.
UPBv2 can drive unipolar and bipolar motors.
Try to set max speed to 400. 20 is too low.

If the cabling is correct, the motor probably draws too much current and the driver can’t drive it. Check the motor spec.
