Strange focus behavior (ASCOM)

I have noticed two strange behaviors using SGP with UPBV2. All latest software (July 21), Windows 10 and ASCOM 6.5 SP1.
In SGP, if I press step out or in a few times consecutively, without waiting for the motor to stop, the motor keeps going... and I have to press stop to prevent it running in or out the whole way. Is that normal behavior?
The other thing I noticed was that I realized I had fitted the focus motor on the other side of the telescope and I needed to reverse the direction. I enabled reverse in SGP and when I made a move, the position changed from 4000 something to 99999 something. Not entirely sure if this SGP or UPB2. I will try it with another focuser. Has anyone else seen this?
