Connected Devices are powering off suddenly

Post by rushrector »

I'm experiencing an issue that I'd appreciate any advice on resolving.

My current setup is a PPBA that is powering an EQ6-R Pro, ASI294MC, ASI290Mini, and Celestron SCT focuser. The mount and main camera are connected to the PPBA with power cables and the guide camera and focuser are powering off usb from the main camera. All of this is being controlled by a Raspberry Pi 4 that is also being powered by the PPBA.

Whenever I'm slewing a lot, my mount suddenly loses all power. If my focuser is calibrating, it suddenly loses power. It seems like they are trying to draw too much power and the PPBA is cutting them off.

I tried powering my PPBA via AC and DC power supplies with no change in effect.

What could be causing this and how can I keep everything powered up? I am happy to provide additional information if there's something important that I left out.

Thanks!

Please check where you have plugged the input cable. I hope it is not plugged into the ADJ Output socket.
