Last night I shoot some images with the asi1600mm pro, Orion star shoot guide camera and a usb dew band connected to the usb hub. To reach my imaging laptop I have connected a 3m usb 3 extension cable attached to the blue cable that came with the usb hub. Have the software for the hub and also the ASCOM drivers installed.
My question: is there any known issues running an extension between the hub and the laptop?
I experienced multiple times where images would not download. And SGP would park the scope.
Had to restart the camera every time to get it working again.

USB3 protocol does not guarantee reliable transmision for cable more than 3meters.

Thanks for the guidance. Will reroute cables and separate the power and usb cables to see if it makes a difference.

Question about the provided 1.5m cable. Is the provided cable shielded?
