Is it ok to use my Pegasus Astro Pocket Powerbox Micro to power my Pegasus Astro USB Control Hub?

Seems in my situation whenever I power the hub with the power box my camera (apogee u8300m) has trouble connecting.
If I power the hub using a dedicated 12v power source everything connects fine?
Any ideas?

There are multple reason why it might go wrong. (cabling / insufficient PSU etc)
