Unity Platform and admin rights

Hello Pegasus Team,

every time I start the Unity Platform SW it asks me for the admin password of Windows (running Win 10 Pro).
This makes it impossible for us to use the Unity Platform, as entering the admin password each and every time does not work (not all users of the PC have admin rights).
Is this a bug in Unity Platform?

Thank you,
Stefan

Curently, Unity requires admin priviledges so this is normal if you are a user in your personal PC.
We are checking how we can bypass this limitation in future releases.

Thank you for the response.

Changing that behavior so that Unity Platform does not require the admin password would be highly appreciated.
Be default all users on the PC do not have admin rights to ensure that only authorized persons do changes to the SW and settings.

In addition, requiring admin rights just to run SW could create security issues.

Thank you,
Stefan

Any news on this?
I second the opinion about security concerns when running Software with admin rights.

Thanks a lot.

We have already changed that and we are ready to launch a new version (hopefully by the end of next week) along with a universal ASCOM driver
