Indi can't connect to Ultimate Powerbox v2 (SOLVED!)

Post by kodo65 »

Please disregard! I had, obviously, selected the wrong device type in Indi. It's not very clear which device each abbreviation stands for in the list. Of course selecting the *correct* one made my RPi+UPBv2 happy campers!

Cheers

Hi!

I have a RPi4B connected to my UPBv2 through the USB3 cable (UPBv2 "PC" to one of the USB3 ports on the Pi). To the hub I have my Avalon mount, Atik CCD, QHY guider, Seagate 1TB SSD and dew heater. Everything connects wonderfully and the devices respond to commands from EKOS/Phd2. However, when I try to connect to the hub through the Indi control panel, in order to interact with it, if fails with a warning:

[WARNING] Port /dev/serial/by-id/usb-FTDI_FT230X_UART_SGWF0554-if00-port0 is already used by another driver or process. If I scan my system it finds:

/dev/serial/by-id/usb-FTDI_FT230X_UART_SGWF0554-if00-port0
/dev/serial/by-id/usb-Pegasus_Astro_UPBv2_revD_UPB273YYY0-if00-port0

None of the above works.

The only device connected to the Pi is the hub - nothing else.

lsusb -t gives:
/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/4p, 5000M
|__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/7p, 5000M
|__ Port 3: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Mass Storage, Driver=uas, 5000M
|__ Port 4: Dev 4, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=usbfs, 5000M
/: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/1p, 480M
|__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
|__ Port 1: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/7p, 480M
|__ Port 5: Dev 6, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=ftdi_sio, 12M
|__ Port 6: Dev 9, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=, 480M
|__ Port 7: Dev 8, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=ftdi_sio, 12M

I have an Adafruit GPS "hat" on the Pi (GPIO). Could that cause problems?

Currently my devices seem to work but I'm unable to control the Pegasus USB hub.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance!
