Please Read: Unity (UPB V2) response issues

I have certainly managed to improve things, by increasing the polling interval for the status read of the relays. It was originally 1 second and it is now 2 seconds. That seems to make the entire control application more responsive to form button presses. Changing back to 1 second interval makes it ...

Re: Unity (UPB V2) response issues

I have had some sleep and time to work through this. Still no joy though. My control application was already up to date with ASCOM changes but for good measure, I refreshed my development and observatory machines, recompiled and re-tested. I had already added the GetSwitchDescription method (which c...

Re: Unity (UPB V2) response issues

thanks Evans - I thought I had updated my Visual Studio ASCOM developer resources - I will double-check tomorrow. The problem is entirely repeatable, so it should be quick to establish if that is the issue. For info, I had the UI running too.

Unity (UPB V2) response issues

I have an observatory control application that has been running my own ASCOM switch driver and then the UPBv2 driver for several years. This application polls the switch state every few seconds and can set switches too. It recently has become unreliable and stalling. I have tracked it down to some i...

Mount fixing holes

Hi, does anyone know the fixing hole arrangement for this mount. It takes time to get pier adaptors made up these days. I'm hoping Pegasus adopted the Tak spec.

strange focus setting behavior with NINA (RC002)

I have two separate systems, both using latest NINA nightly (as of 8 May), one with with a UPB2 and another with a Lakeside focuser module. In NINA, I can disable the temperature compensation for the Lakeside system, but when I connect to the Unity driver and try to disable temp compensation from NI...

Re: Strange focus behavior (ASCOM)

My bad - it was normal behavior in SGP to flip the position around and with extensive testing, I realized that SGP/UPB were just storing my mouse clicks and executing the focus jumps one after another.

Strange focus behavior (ASCOM)

I have noticed two strange behaviors using SGP with UPBV2. All latest software (July 21), Windows 10 and ASCOM 6.5 SP1. In SGP, if I press step out or in a few times consecutively, without waiting for the motor to stop, the motor keeps going... and I have to press stop to prevent it running in or ou...

Re: Using UPB V2 with StellarMate?

thanks - I was looking in the wrong place for the settings.... I was looking at the separate devices in the INDI server, like focuser, rather than as one overall multi-functional device. It is working now.

Using UPB V2 with StellarMate?

I wonder if anyone has used this combination, with StellarMate or Astroberry? Would be interested to know if it is possible and the installation process too!
