Re: Ultimate Powerbox V2 with ASI6200 or ASI120
I had the same problem with my ASI6200MM. It was working for a while, then it became unreliable and in the end it did not work at all. I had to replaces the UPBv2 main board two times. With new ones it is working. I hope now it is final, but for the worst case I have one replacement board in the she...

Re: UPBv2: Software crashes due to memeory leak
Hi Evans,
I have made the update, but need some time to report back, since the weather is horrible at the moment (snow, cold and storm).
Thanks!

UPBv2: Question about displaying a red arrow
Hello Evans,
i get a strange indication in the software and I am not sure what it means. The power port is switched off, but I get a red error. If I switch it on, everything is fine.
What does it mean?

Re: UPBv2: Software crashes due to memeory leak
Hello Evans,
the last version solved the problem. After 12 hours uptime the memory footprint is constant below 32MB. Also the re-occuring USB bus resets have vanished. They were very annoying.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers

Re: UPBv2: Software crashes due to memeory leak
Ok. I have installed it. It seems to have the same effect. It grows approx 2 MB per Minute.
Update: It frees memory!!! juhu! It is not growing beyond 20 MB memory footprint.

Hi Evans,
I have installed 1.4.4 this afternoon and it is running since. The memory leak is not fixed. The process is growing unlimited.

The latest version is absolutely unstable. It crashes frequently. A serious usage is not possible.

Re: UPBv2: Software crashes due to memeory leak
Just received another error pop-up at 1.7GB memory consumption. When you confirm it with "OK" it keeps opening up again and again. And then UPB crashed with an .net exception but unfortunately when clicking on details the message disappears. It was closed with the application. But Eventlog...

Hi Evans,
I have repeated the test. It is running out of memory every time. Hitting the 4GB margin and then crashing.

Re: UPBv2: Software crashes due to memeory leak
Addendum: I can see in task manager continuously growing memory allocation. Since it is 32Bit (at least shown) the 4GB limit is reached during that observed time period. Probably that's the reason for the crash. While typing this message it allocated 30MB more. Update: Memory usage grows unlimited. ...

UPBv2: Software crashes due to memeory leak
Hello Evans, I have observed now 2 times, that the software crashes over night silently. When returning to the PC the next day the application was closed and no logs were written. This happens since last update to 1.4.3.0. Following entry can be found in Windows application log. It looks like a memo...

Re: UPBV2 environmental sensor issue
Hi Evans, can you tell which batches of sensors are suffering from this problem? Also the very first ones? If yes, I would tackle the problem proactively and open the sensor housing and seal the cables. Not a big deal, but very annoying when it happens during the night. Maybe a photo could also be s...

Re: Question about the upcoming Uranus Meteo Sensor
This is a kind of usage I'd never would do - and to be frank - I do not know a single AP who does it like you have descried. No one is measuring in the direction of the scope. We all have fixed SQMs which measure the entire sky. I also have serious doubts it makes sense to measure in pointing direct...
