Meteo crashes Unity on connect
I have a new Powerbox V3 and the Meteo Sensor. Every time I connect the Meteo to my system, either my PC or directly to the the powerbox, Unity crashes. In a system use configuration this renders this box worthless. This needs to be fixed or I need to refesh and reinstall the firmware but I cannot d...

Re: How to achieve guiding setup and operation. version 3 edited 2023/11/04
I would also recommend using the Guiding Assistant in Phd2. I use the calibration assistant initially but once you have a good calibration you don't need to do that too often unless your weight or weight distribution changes. I used the guiding assistant in Phd2 and it cut my RMS guiding error by 30...

How serviceable is the NYX?
Has anyone opened up their NYX? I made a semi-fatal error the other night and left my medium size step ladder too close to the pier and when my setup did a meridian flip the back end of my refractor landed on the top step and from what I can tell, most likely the internal belt on the RA axis must ha...

Changing the sleep time causes the slider to start rocking to Def Leppard
I've had this issue across a number Unity versions as well as firmware versions for the Uranus Metro. When you go to the Settings tab and you move the slider to change the Sleep delay the slider goes nuts after you release the mouse. Reminds me of "Photograph" by Def Leppard. While interes...

Curious, ok. The main title on the page two levels above lists this, and I quote "Feature Requests / 3rd Party Software". I will resubmit to the email you requested. If you don't want feature requests then I suggest you re-label the title above for this section of your forum.

Will you please show parameter values in the dialog boxes and not force clicking on sliders?
I have a UI issue with Unity. On both the mount meridian limit and the flat panel illuminators a user MUST click on a slider bar to actually see the current set value. This is both frustrating, unnecessary and creates a lot of confusion in using the application. There should be a box with a numeric ...

Does the NYX forget the mount settings on power down?
I am curious if the NYX forgets the mount settings, in particular the meridian limit delay, after a power down? Reason I ask is I've been imaging for 3 nights in a row now. On Monday/Tuesday everything worked fine between NINA and the NYX for doing a meridian flip. But, on each of those days, when I...

Re: Polar alignment methods - experiments
Thanks I will try your methods out. While I like the NYX, doing PA on it is more than a bit of a PITA. I spent 20 mins last night doing PA with NINA TPPA. First pass got me to about 1' and second pass to 19". I did a solid 5 hours of imaging on the Firecracker Galaxy and Phd2 reported a PA erro...

Re: Purchase additional AZ Dowel's
Just an update for anyone else who is interested in additional AZ Dowels. George contacted me and let me know that Pegasus will soon be offering the AZ Dowels as a stand alone produce for their dealers to sell and they should have them available soon.

Purchase additional AZ Dowel's
So I got my NYX-101 yesterday. I had previously purchased the NYX Tripod. I plan on using my NYX-101 in 3 different setups. One on a permanent PierTech pier, next on my NYX Carbon tripod with a light telescope and lastly on a Burlebach tripod with my heavy telescope. My personal preference is to hav...

Re: Flat panel and the Nina Flat Panel Wizard, Dynamic Brightness
It is a shame nobody has responded to this. I have the latest version of NINA and Unity and have found that the combination of NINA/Flatmaster to be worthless. I've gone back to making all my flats in Sharpcap. You connect it to the NINA and TRY to use the Flat Wizard. It is simply an exercise in fr...

Re: SDK for NYX-101 mount to make a personal hand controller
I had heard some rumors to that effect but was not sure. I have a "band aid" solution using a hand held trackball that works with an iPad. I use the iPad with Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect to a Mele PC that sits on my OTA. In this mode, getting "clicks" to work reliably is ...

SDK for NYX-101 mount to make a personal hand controller
l was thinking I would like to try to make a bare bones hand controller, something with just NSEW buttons to slew the NYX during the day when I have my Lunt Solar telescope on it. My routine is I visually get the sun in the eyepiece and line up my Hynode Solar Guider. Once that is done I will calibr...
