Re: uranus meto senser dead

Hi,

did you try to disconnect the battery fo a couple of minutes?

Another Option might by to reset the sensor board as described by wjdrijfhout in the last post of the topic
"Uranus temp. spikes to 182ºC after ~1h every tiime" here.

I hope the latter might help.

best regards
Bernd

Re: Uranus temp. spikes to 182ºC after ~1h every tiime

Hi Willem Jan, no you don't have to remove the battery pack completey, just disconnect one of the two cables which connect the battery to the electronics board. This procedure to let the Uranus run on USB power without charging the battery is described in the manual and thus officially supported. Fo...

Re: Uranus temp. spikes to 182ºC after ~1h every tiime

Hi, sorry to hear that you have those issues despite the disconnected battery. Maybe it's really somehow related to a certain combination of settings. Similar to your opinion, my trust in the Pegasus Astro products has been severly lessened after my experience with the Uranus Meteo sensor. But to be...

Re: Uranus temp. spikes to 182ºC after ~1h every tiime

Hi, I had the same problem with my Uranus Meteo Sensor! The problem suddenly appeared after using it for over a year without this issue. The device was still under warranty so I sent it in for repair at Pegasus Astro through the dealer where I bought it. Pegasus sent it back after a couple of weeks ...

Re: Cloud sensor is awful

Hi, I made the same experience last weekend. Conditions were very warm (about 23°C at night) and the sky temperature reading was about -3° C. Unity Software claimed that my sky was cloudy but it was a clear night though. When imaging on cold nights say in winter or spring I never had this problem an...

Re: Pegasus Power Box vs. ASIAIR

Hi, I'm not familiar with the features of the ASIAIR, but one of the things I love about my Powerbox Ultimate is that I can switch the power ports on and off individually. That even works scheduled at a specific time in the Unity Software or by using the ASCOM Switch driver of the PowerBox. So when ...

Re: Not a cloud in the sky but cloud sensor says 60% !

There is chatter on another forum for 10 Micron mounts, questioning the accuracy of the " weather " portion of the Uranus meter accuracy yesterday, I took my unit outside in early afternoon, and the temperature, dew point , and humidity ratings were not accurate I find this rather disconc...

Re: Humidity reading vs. UPB and GPS issue in Unity Software

I am having the same problem with the humidity sensor, did you find any solution? Hi Andreas, No, sadly not. I'm still experiencing huge differnces between the readings, not only for the humidity but sometimes also for the temperature. Last night the Uranus meto sensor measured +4°C while the PB se...

Re: Humidity reading vs. UPB and GPS issue in Unity Software

Hello, Somehow my GPS Issue is fixed, the location is now correctly shown in the Unity Software. Maybe it was solved by the Unity Update, which was released last week, I don't know. But I still notice the huge differnce in humidity values, Uranus show about 20% less rel. humidity than the UPB sensor...

Re: How do you access stored data from mobile use?

Hi,

glad that I could help you!
And one minor thing. Is there a function to download or copy the whole thing?
It seems I can only copy one row at a time.
Sorry I don't know, I didn't try this.

best regards

Re: How do you access stored data from mobile use?

Hi,

I struggled to find this function as well.
There is a Button labeled "Reporting" on the starting page of the Unity Software.
Choosing this I was able to read and export the stored measuremnents.

best regards

Humidity reading vs. UPB and GPS issue in Unity Software

Hello, I've just receicved my Uranus Meteo Sensor, I'm very excited and happy that it has finally been launched after waiting nearly two years after the first product announcement. I managed to check it out last night and it worked fine, but I've a couple of issues or questions: Somenone already pos...

Re: USB 2 compatibilty of USB 3.1 ports in Ultimate Powerbox Gen 2

Thanks for the reply! So I finally bought a new UPB togehther with the XT60 Adapter (SKU: PEG-ADAPT-25XT60). I supposed I could still use the PSU from my old Advanced PB with this adapter on the new UPB but sadly this is not the case because the adapter has a 2.5 mm plug and the PSU a 2.1 mm plug. I...

Daisy chain USB Control Hub to PBA gen 1

Hi, I'm currently using the PBA gen 1 and would ike to have more USB ports. Is it possible to connect (daisy chain) the Pegasus Astro USB Control Hub to the USB 3.1 only Port #1 of the PBA gen 1 to extend the number of ports ? Power distribution of the USB Control Hub would also be connected to the ...

USB 2 compatibilty of USB 3.1 ports in Ultimate Powerbox Gen 2

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrading to the Ultimate Powerbox gen 2 . I'm currenly a satisfied owner of the PBA gen 1 but a well known issue with that Powerbox is, that several QHY devices and e.g. my Celestron HC don't work with the port #1, which is USB 3.1 only. So I can actually only use 3 out of 4 ...
